Meeting specific client needs is always the cornerstone of exceptional manufacturing, especially in the mobile food business. In this case study, we explore a recent build: a custom 250W food trailer designed and manufactured for a client in Australia. From tailored dimensions and Australian-standard fittings to a unique color palette and functional interiors, this food trailer project reflects our commitment to customization and quality.
The client requested a single-axle, two-wheel mobile food trailer with a total size of 250200230cm. The trailer needed to be lightweight, maneuverable, yet sturdy enough for Australian roads. To ensure parking stability and security, 4 jacks and a braking system were installed.
The body was constructed using fiberglass, providing durability, weather resistance, and a smooth finish—ideal for frequent transport and outdoor use.
One of the key requirements was compliance with Australian vehicle standards. That meant:
Australian-standard trailer axle
White wheel hubs with integrated braking system
Marker lights on the trailer's exterior
License plate light and mount at the rear
These additions ensure not only safety but also legal operation across Australian territories.
“We needed a plug-and-play trailer that meets all Aussie road rules—and this one ticked every box,”
— Client feedback
The color was more than just cosmetic—it was part of the brand. The client chose a RAL 3001 Signal Red for both ends and a RAL 3014 Antique Pink for the middle section, creating a standout look without being overbearing.
This strategic combination balanced visibility and charm, essential for a food business aiming to attract foot traffic.
The trailer features a 2-meter-long service window placed on one side. To maintain structural integrity and avoid edge damage, 25cm of panel space was preserved on both ends of the window. A fold-out serving shelf was installed directly beneath the window to assist with order transactions.
To ensure a seamless electrical setup, we used a 220V 50Hz Australian-standard circuit system, complete with:
10 x Australian standard wall sockets
32A external power inlet (location customized per blueprint)
Flush-mounted electrical wiring—no exposed cables
Internal LED tube lighting
Electrical control box for safety and load management
Every connection and fixture adhered strictly to Australian electrical standards, making it safe for daily use.
Inside, the food trailer was designed to maximize function in limited space:
Stainless steel workbenches with under-counter cabinets
Standard double sink with hot & cold tap
Additional 30×35×20cm sink with a custom lid
Integrated cash register drawer for business operations
The design considered ergonomics, cleanliness, and daily food service workflow.
Food-grade materials
Storage efficiency
User-friendly work zones
Separate cash and prep areas
For visibility and compliance, the trailer exterior includes:
Marker lights (positioned strategically around the body)
Rear-mounted license plate light
License plate bracket for secure mounting
These ensure the trailer can be towed and operated safely even at night or in low-visibility conditions.
This custom 250W food trailer build reflects how precise engineering and localized knowledge can deliver the perfect product for international clients. From road compliance to interior functionality, every feature was designed with care and intent. Whether you're launching a new mobile kitchen in Australia or elsewhere, this project is proof that customization and quality make all the difference.
